Travel and Cancellation Policy Update for 2020 & 2021 Sojourns

Our passion for exploring our world remains as strong as ever, and Scholarly Sojourns remains steadfastly committed to providing you with truly life-enriching travel experiences. While we may not be able to travel together now, we are optimistic that exploring our world and discovering cultural experiences off the beaten path is exactly the type of adventure we can all look forward to once again soon.

As a tour operator, the comfort and safety of passengers is our first priority. We are watching the evolving situation with the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) very closely and following the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. State Department. So, at this point, we recognize the need to pause and give the wold time to heal. Due to current uncertainty about our ability to deliver the level of experience you expect, we have decided to postpone all sojourns with departure dates through August 30, 2020. If you are scheduled to travel with us on one of the postponed sojourns, you can choose from these options:

I’d like to register for a 2020 sojourn departing after August 30:

Great! We will be delighted to travel with you later year! And now, you can hold your spot with our worry-free cancelation policy.
Just choose your sojourn from our our wide selection of 2020 travel programs departing in September, October, or November. For new registrions from 4/1/2020, you can hold your spot with a fully refundable deposit until 120 days prior to departure. Final balances will be due at this time.

I’d like to register for a 2021 sojourn:

Great! We would be delighted to travel with you next year! And now, you can hold your spot with our worry-free cancelation policy.
Just choose your sojourn from our extensive list of unique 2021 travel programs, they are now available to explore and book! For new registrations from 4/1/2020, you can hold your 2021 spot with a fully refundable deposit. You can cancel your booking for any 2021 sojourn up until 95 days before departure and receive a full refund of any deposit you have paid.
